Darjeeling

Getting There: The nearest airport to Darjeeling is the Bagdogra airport. Bagdogra is 10 kms from Siliguri and is an important military installation. From Bagdogra one can take a bus or taxi to Darjeeling.

Kalimpong

Fifty-one km east of Darjeeling and at an altitude of 1250 metres lies Kalimpong, the former headquarters of the Bhutanese Governor. It is situated amidst gently rolling "hills of Deolo and Durbindra", at the foot of the mighty Himalayas. Kalimpong is the smallest hill station between Siliguri and Gangtok. The road is one of the most scenic routes in this part of the nation.The swift flowing Teesta river runs by the side of the road adding to the beauty of the scenery.
